Frank Jensen

Frank Jensen was born in Denmark in 1956. He has lived and worked in Barcelona since 1991. His work is characterised by bold colours and strong geometric lines, in the middle of which lies a still and contemplative portrait of life. His father, who was a violinist and painter, was his very first teacher. Jensen studied art in Copenhagen, worked as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines in Denmark and Spain, and has spent some time living in the United States.

His work may be found in many high-profile private collections, including the Can Framis Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the Testimony Collection of La Caixa bank, the Villacasas foundation in Spain, and the private collection of the Pharmaceutical Association of Madrid. Jensen has also had his work commissioned by the Brazilian Embassy in Copenhagen and Panasonic in Spain.
